The expeditions that came 120 years ago to study an eclipse in Vallenar
In 1893, three groups of scientists arrived in the Vallenar’s hills, in the current Province of Huasco, to witness a total solar eclipse. Two of them are known among astronomers and historians: Pickering and Obrecht.
